Independent test lab AV-Comparatives recently published results from their security products Malware Protection Test on 17 leading cybersecurity brands. Total Defense Essential Anti-Virus was tested and received the highest Advanced+ AV-Comparatives award.

Malware Protection
To conduct the test, AV-Comparatives test set consisted of 10,029 prevalent malware samples that are endangering users in the field. All products were installed on a fully up-to-date 64-Bit Microsoft Windows 10 system with default settings and using their latest updates. The Malware Protection Test checks not only the detection rates, but also the protection capabilities, i.e. the ability to prevent a malicious program from actually making any changes to the system. In some cases, an antivirus program may not recognize a malware sample when it is inactive but will recognize it when it is running.
Total Defense Anti-Virus awarded Advanced+ rating
We’re gratified to see Total Defense Essential Anti-Virus blocked 99.98 percent of all tested malware samples and generated just 4 false positives. Based on these results, Total Defense Essential Anti-Virus was ranked Advanced+, the highest possible ranking award.
