Implement strong password policies

As human error commonly opens the door to malicious actors and cyberthreats of all forms, implementing strong password policies is one practical step you can take to help fortify your organization’s cyber resilience. Specifically, consider implementing the following among staff member’s devices:

  • Multi-factor authentication (MFA): MFA adds an additional layer of security by requiring users to provide multiple forms of identification prior to gaining access to sensitive information.
  • Biometric authentication: As a complement to MFA, biometric authentication includes facial recognition, fingerprint scans, iris scanners and other forms of user-specific identification measures.
  • Password managers: Reputable password managers work to not only generate highly-resilient passwords but also facilitate an added level of convenience. Such passwords are stored in an encrypted vault, reducing the risk of password-related security breaches.
