Beware of tax-related scams

Many scammers claim to be from the IRS or another government body in an effort to steal your personal information. While many are done online, such as through text, email or social media, some come through regular mail or even visits to your front door. Thankfully, the IRS keeps a running list of known tax scams available to the public so you can familiarize yourself with the most common ones.
